Final Magazine compared to Flat Plan

What is easily noticeable when looking at my flat plan and my final magazine is that they are basically completely different. The reason for this being that i disliked the layout of my draft magazine which mostly followed the layout set by my flat plans. Due to this i started analysing further into the layout of The Fader magazines as they are visually appealing to me. They also publish issues about the same genre as my magazine so would have a similar target audience. They are successful in drawing in this audience as they are a well established magazine. These are the reasons why i chose to take a large amount of inspiration from The Fader. Due to this my final magazine isn't similar to my flat plan.

Changes needed after feedback on drafts

After receiving feedback on my draft magazine I have become aware that many changes need to be made for the development of my final magazine.

My font needs to be smaller for the text on my contents and double page spread.

The image on my draft contents page is too overwhelming. I want to completely change the layout of my contents page as my draft contents is poor in my opinion.

I need a new font for my mast head as the draft one just doesn't look quite right. It also needs to be bigger and fit the majority of the top of the page.

I need to trial a few different variations of colour schemes for my cover with a few different images in order to find the perfect combination.

My draft magazine is A4 which is not a conventional size for a magazine. I am going to measure the dimensions of a Fader magazine when i next get the opportunity to and use those dimensions for my final magazine.

I need to use more images for my final magazine as my draft only used 3.

Title of my magazine

I am going to call my magazine Timeless because it is a word that represents how music has a lasting influence on people and culture even after the artist has passed away. It also represents how music of any genre can be listened to at any point in the future as long as it is still available to be listened to on platforms such as apple music or on CD, it never dies. Its Timeless.
